What Makes You Happy #5

Dear, Me in the alternate universe.

I'm sorry for your inability to wake up today.
Or that you would not know how it feels like to have your mom and dad prepare your foods when you wake up, waited for you to finish your chores,
just so they can eat together with you.
You would not know how it feels to tell them things, and the joy of seeing them so alive, the joy of knowing that they're here.
It feels like a grand festivity, deep down here, you know?
Of course, of course you don't.

You probably wouldn't bump into some hobbies, or passions, or things you'd be willing to do,
even if you're not paid. Not being able to have somebody admire your works, always been the one who admires others'. You probably are sticking to the monotonous life of yours. Safe, but not an enjoyable ride either.

You probably wouldn't know how it's like to have a group of friends who loved you, whom you also loved. Would not witness the teary moment of helping one of them when they were having the worst financial issue. You wouldn't have anybody told you, 'you are so lucky to have them.'

You were probably so rich, yet you were not loved.
You would probably circled by lots of people, but afterall you were alone.

I am thankful that I am not you.
